Other Survivors.

I think, to find the other survivors, they will be all around the city. For campaign, at least.

For multiplayer, players pick their character, and then spawn a random points across the city.

Yes and you have to do something to gain there trust

Yeah. Other survivors could potentially be befriended, either by saving their lives, or giving them a gift (though they will ALWAYS be wary of gifts).

Perhaps, for a campaign... we could have a conversation system, and you must pick your words carefully?

We'll find coders once we have a solid concept and know just how the gameplay and everything works. Then we hunt for coders. I know where we can get some coders, but it would be a mistake to go hunting for them this early on.

The other project I am on got one who works for free. A college kid, looking to practice and have something good on his resume. I'm positive there are more people like him. Two other people who just like to code and code the game in their free time, too.
